Unexpected household products help heal a dry pucker.
The key to soft, kissable lips are keeping them moisturized. However, in the dead of winter it can be tricky to keep your lips supple. Chapped lips from the harsh winter wind hurt, peel and aren’t great to look at. Here are three common household items you can use to help this winter.
Olive Oil
Just a drop of olive oil on your lips will instantly moisturize them and penetrate deep under the skin. Some use baby oil, however, most baby oils are mineral based and end up clogging pores instead of penetrating.
Noxzema
Dabbing Noxzema on chapped lips will soothe the burn and heal any blisters. The cream moisturizes, while the eucalyptus reduces any inflammation. The menthol acts as a temporary anesthetic and will provide relief from any soreness.
Alberto V05 Conditioner
Relieve soreness from chapped lips by rubbing some V05 conditioner on your lips. The “V05” stands for the five vitamins found in the conditioner; vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin D and vitamin B5.
