There are days you wake up and don’t feel like putting much effort into anything so when you need to run out the door, you likely throw on the first thing in sight. This means you’re probably punishing your feet with your beaten Uggs or worn sneakers. As comfortable as these old shoes are, they can also do some damage.
Foot odor is caused by bacteria growth in body sweat. Here are a few tips to keep your feet odor-free.
Mouth Wash
Soaking your feet in mouthwash will kill some of the bacteria causing the foot odor. The alcohol and herbal extracts in most washes will help battle the bacteria.
Baking Soda
When giving yourself a pedicure, mix some baking soda and water into a paste. Apply it to your feet and in between your toes. Not only will the paste exfoliate your feet, but it’ll also restore the pH balance of your feet. This in turn reduces bacteria growth.
Salt
Dissolve about eight teaspoons of salt in warm water for about ten minutes every day. The salt water will dry out your skin and reduce the amount of sweat your feet produces.
