Lush’s Vanilla Fountain Bath Bomb
A bath bomb? Ok…they mean, it’s the bomb, right? I didn’t get it. It has a fuse. It smells delicious. But do I really want to bomb my own bath? I unwrapped the cute little bomb, threw it in the tub, and yelled “live ammo!” I plugged my nose and did a running jump into the erupting yellow water, nearly knocking myself unconscious in the process. I didn’t know what to expect! My tub was alive! Alive with the most wonderful little miracle I’ve ever come across. This stuff is FAB-U-LOUS, and I don’t use that term lightly. For about 10 minutes my nose and I sat in bubbling vanilla creme brulee goodness with zero calories. I lay back and stared at my ceiling….am I dead? Is this Heaven? Its comforting vanilla scent comes from natural vanilla absolute (the posh stuff made from real vanilla pods) with a touch of restful sandalwood and a note of burnt caramel. Inspired by decadent French desserts, Vanilla Fountain makes a perfect post-meal bath, and a foolproof way to recruit company in the tub!

Linda Rodin’s Olio Lusso
Everyone’s talking about Olio Lusso, who’s using it, and how it changed their lives. I had to try it! The packaging is clean and chic, much like something you’d find at your local apothecary store. And this is no accident – the ingredients, much like the bottle, appear as a simple list of 11 essential oils (Apricot oil, jasmine, jojoba oil, evening primrose oil, arnica, calendula, sweet almond, argan, sunflower, rose hip seed and neroli). Apply a few drops of this mesmerizing blend of heavenly fragrances to a freshly-cleaned face, and you’ll notice an instant dewy radiance so fresh looking, you won’t need anything else. For the first time in years I went without powder, and ladies….it. FELT. GREAT. Clearly, Ms. Rodin picked up a tip or two working as the fashion editor at Harpers Bazaar. You can’t tell, but this dewy-faced editor’s hat is off to Linda! ($130 local vendor lookup at oliolusso.com)

Fannie’s Corner
Although I’ve come to a point in my life where I know I deserve the “better” things that life has to offer, I must admit that I have occasionally “accepted” and made “excuses” for actions that I felt were unfair to me.
You see, sometimes in life we tend to lose focus of what’s important to us. The goals and dreams that we have set out for ourselves. Our morals and values. We set out specific standards for ourselves and for some reason or another, we give way to allow something or someone to come in between. All of a sudden, our standards begin to lower. We start to settle.
When it comes to life, love and relationships, we all should already know what we’re looking for and why. What type of partners we want. The older we get, the more we learn to deal with change, and things not going quite as expected. But the thought of having to adjust, settle and/ or lowering our standings in order to please someone else just to make him/ her happy, should never be of a necessity. Besides, someone that truly cares for you would not want you to give up your personal standards in order to prove your love or devotion to them.

Dear Katie,
I have a weird paranoia over clean ears! What’s the best way to keep your ears clean without risking filling them up with tons of water from the shower?
